DEC is currently seeking an environmental scientist, soil scientist, wildlife biologist or ecologist who can be part of an Ecological/Regulatory team to provide consulting on a wide variety of projects throughout the States of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland. Work involves wetland investigations, water quality sampling, application preparation, soil sampling and data collection. Travel is necessary and the individual will be reimbursed for mileage or use company owned vehicles for travel. Working outside of normal business hours may be required. Compensation based on experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology or related discipline required
• Knowledge of State of New Jersey, and US Army Corps of Engineers regulatory programs a plus
• 0-5 years of experience with environmental projects
• OSHA certification a plus
• Ability to traverse project corridors and sites and carry equipment (up to 40 lbs)
• Strong technical writing abilities
• Good communication skills a must
• Microsoft Word & Excel
• ArcMap (GIS)

Full time and/or Part time Environmental Construction Monitor
DEC is currently seeking resumes for an entry level Environmental Construction Monitor. Full time and/or Part time position available. Environmental Science or Natural Resource related degree preferred, with 0-4 years experience. Applicant will be required to learn the applicable NJDEP and USACE Rules on Wetlands, Coastal Zone Management and Flood Hazard Areas and how those rules apply to typical construction processes. This position will be responsible to conduct biological and/or construction monitoring and oversight at sites throughout Southern New Jersey. Daily travel is estimated at 50-150 miles per day. Training will be provided.

This position provides support to a small group and the candidate must be dependable, personable and be able to prioritize workload.
